Burek Menu
Spinach and Cheese Burek: the most popular flavour on the menu. The ultimate marriage of Spinach, ricotta, feta, peccorino cheeses, and aromatic herbs wrapped in our own sourdough thin stretched pita.
Cheese Burek: the combination of three cheeses; ricotta, feta and peccorino, mixed with freshly ground white pepper, wrapped in our own sourdough thin stretched pita.
Beef & Onion Burek: juicy, lean minced meat, from the highest quality Australian Beef, and freshly diced onion, seasoned with a secret selection of herbs and spices, wrapped in our own sourdough thin stretched pita.
Mushroom Burek: a selection of asian and local mushrooms, diced onion pieces, seasoned with pepper and salt, wrapped in our own sourdough thin stretched pita.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve with flavoured greek style yogurt, or any other dipping sauce of your choice.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, before cooking.
- Mix ¼ cup of thickened cream and one egg yolk, brush over cooked burek and place back in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix ¼ cup thickened cream, with garlic, brush over cooked burek and place back in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
Dessert Burek
Apple & Cinnamon Burek: diced, fresh green apple pieces, with a selection of currants and juicy sultanas. The addition of the warmest spices make this burek an all year favourite. Wrapped always in our own sourdough thin stretched pita.
Cherry Burek: morello cherries, the most famous bitter-sweet European fruit has found its self wraped in layers of burek, flavoured with fresh lemon peels and vanilla, the ultimate combination .
Pumpkin Burek: this is a traditional dessert, a favourite for its sattle sweetness. Cubed pieces of sweet pumpkin, mixed with a blend of cinnamon, and vanilla for the perfect balance of flavours, wrapped in our own sourdough thin stretched pita.
Serving Suggestions
- Sprinkle some caster sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon, after removing burek from the oven a lift of aroma.
- Serve warm, with ice-cream, and melted luscious dark chocolate, and have everyone talking about your exquisite taste in desserts(cherry burek).
- Serve cold, or hot with whipped cream, cinnamon and walnuts. When served hot whipped cream melts and creates a soft texture.
